Cloudy & Dull Headlights?

Why Headlights Get Cloudy?

When headlights are made, the manufacturer uses a special clear coat to protect the lenses and keep them clear. Over time, this coating fades away, leaving your headlights unprotected and causing them to become cloudy and murky-looking.

Most of the cloudiness seen in older headlight lenses is caused by the sun. Once the OEM headlight clear coat has worn off, UV rays begin to have an effect on the plastic that headlight lenses are made of. Uncoated headlights that are exposed to the sun can turn yellow in just a couple of years.

Signs Your Headlight Need To Be Restored

You can see scratches or cracks in the headlight lenses.

There is visible haze/discoloration of the headlight lenses.

You’ve noticed that it’s harder to see at night.

Your headlights have been damaged by road debris or in an accident.
